1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Aether Holdings, Inc. (“Aether,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit alphid.ai or join the Alphid waitlist (the “Service”).
If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at legal@helloaether.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect a limited amount of information in three ways:
- Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and, where you provide it, optional information such as how you heard about Alphid (the referral source). When you confirm your subscription, we record the confirmation.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Service, we and our analytics provider may collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, language, referring page, the pages you view, and the actions you take on the site. This information helps us understand usage and improve the Service.
- Information from cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to measure usage. See Cookies and similar technologies below.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service and respond to your requests.
- Confirm your waitlist subscription and send waitlist and early-access communications.
- Understand how the Service is used and improve its performance, content, and design.
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as SendGrid (email delivery and waitlist management) and PostHog (product analytics). These vendors process information on our behalf under contractual commitments to protect it.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Aether, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Aether is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences (such as your color mode), keep the site secure, and measure aggregate usage. Most browsers let you control or block cookies through their settings; blocking certain cookies may affect parts of the Service.
6. Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. PostHog may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed. We configure analytics to avoid collecting information we do not need, and we do not use it for cross-site advertising.
7. Email communications
When you join the waitlist, we use SendGrid to send a confirmation email and, after you confirm, occasional product updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Operational messages directly related to your signup (for example, the confirmation email itself) may still be delivered.
8. Data retention
We keep waitlist information for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain records, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention periods. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
9. Your choices and rights
You have choices about your information:
- Unsubscribe. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop marketing communications.
- Access, correction, or deletion. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing legal@helloaether.com.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. We will honor verified requests as required by applicable law.
- Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because no consistent industry standard has been adopted.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@helloaether.com so we can remove it.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International users
Aether is based in the United States, and our service providers may operate in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
14. Contact
